Hi everybody,
I'm working on 2d modeling of complex river roughness and don't know whether is possible to run telemac2d in the parallel mode when roughness coefficient map is considered.
Any help is welcome

Dear Mourad,

You can set a "BOTTOM FRICTION" variable in your geometry file which will be priority used in your simulation (overriding the one set in the CAS file), for both serial and parallel runs.

This variable can be mapped using Bluekenue with a grid (an XYZ file with Z being the roughness value) if the spatial distribution is too complex for polygon zones.

Regards,

José Díaz.

Hello

You can also introduce your roughness with an ASCII file using the keyword FRICTION DATA FILE. This option can help if you use spatially variable friction coeffcients and laws. However, the most efficient way is to add a layer in the geometry file as described by José

Please see the user manual for a full description of all these options

with my best regards
