Hello everyone!

I am testing the model with permanent flow in a section of the Parana river. I attach an image with the boundary conditions and the control sections that i use (file BC+CS). The upstream boundary condition is incoming flow (Q = 19570 m3/s). That's why I use an Open boundary with prescribed Q. Downstream was imposed a fixed water height of 6.76 m. That's why I use an Open boundary with prescribed H.

When I see the screen while running the simulation I observe that the flow rate printed on the control sections is negative. This is correct?

I also add the results of the flow recorded in the control sections (file Resultados_control_sections.txt) and the file parana.cas.

I wait for answers! :)

Hi
The sign depends on the way you draw the section.

To try to illustrate, if I remember well, when flow goes from south to north, the section should be described from west to east to have positive value

Cheers
