Hello,

I work with the telemac 2D example files. I looked to the .tex documents in the doc-folder. For the siphon example there is no description in it.

Is there any description for the examples? Maybe I have an old version of the examples?

Hello

You can find a full description of the siphon example in the validation document of the release V7P1. The .tex files are being built continuously and hopefully will be ready for the next release.
Moreover, lots of useful information about siphon (culverts and bridges) can be found in the user manual.
