open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

I am beginner in TELEMAC. I want to simulate an unsteady flow in Dry River. I have a hydrograph (time-discharge) for the inlet and rating curve in the outlet. But that did not work.

Would you have any recommendation or advice?

You a have a nice model :)
The mesh is OK and the boundary conditions also.
Actually the rive is not completely dry. To run propoerly the hydrograph, you need to generate a real initial condition and then to run the model with a hot start.
To do that, run the model without the hydrograph and without the rating curve.

Actually your mesh is with very poor quality. You have elements that intersect between them. This is the error message I got when running Telemac on your case:
STOSEG: WRONG MESH
FACE 3
OF ELEMENT 17239
IS NOT WELL ORIENTED
(POINTS 9283 AND 3052 )
This is probably due to the use of the channel mesher of Blue Kenue with a very high meandering angle.

You need to build again your mesh in a more optimal way.

First, I have corrected my mesh manually (elements that intersect between them). Please let me know if there is an automatic method.

Second, as you have seen above: to run properly the hydrograph, I need to generate a real initial condition and then to run the model with a hot start. Please can you give me more details, or direct me to a document which explains this method.

Third, without this hot start file I can’t run my simulation.
