Hello

I am running a simulation in Telemac 2D. As a result, I obtained a "results file" However, due to the size of the "results file" (more than 45 GB) I would rather to save it partially, not the all domain area, I would like to save it only in some specific area that I am interested So that, My question is:

Is there some way to save the results file partially, I meant only some region of my results.

Thank you and I hope you can help me with this issue.

Regards
Joel

Hi,

There is no easy way to do that.
But it is possible I see two ways:
At runtime:
You'll need to use the "binary results file".
Set its format to serafin.
Build a new mesh that contains only the area you want.
And add in telemac2d.F to command to write to your file every time-step we write to the result file.

Afterward:
You can use a Fortran or Python scripts to read your serafin file and writea lighter version.

Hope it helps.
There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Hi Joel,

I can't help you do anything at run time but, you can use
Blue Kenue to extract subsets of individual variables from
the large result file.

See: "Tools->T3 Mesh->Extract Subset..."

Hope this helps...
