Hello everyone!

I am testing the model for impermanent flow. Since a few weeks I have problems with the downstream boundary condition. After investigating in the different forums I take the following recommendations:

* I use upstream an Open boundary with prescribed Q (455) and downstream I use an Open boundary with prescribed H (544).

* Restart from a steady state within the range of the curve (hotstart).

When I analyze the results, the water surface at the downstream boundary is equal to the first water surface value of the stage-discharge curve (4.23m), and stays with this value throughout the whole simulation although the incoming flow upstream varies over time.

It seems that the program only reads the first value in the stage-discharge curve.

I send the .cas file that I use (Parana.cas) and the file of upstream and downstream boundary conditions (bc_Parana.cli; hydrographs_Parana.liq and rating_curve.txt).

thank you very much :)

Hi Flor,

Maybe you should try to add a column with SL(1) in your hydrograph?
Have a look at pildepon in the examples
