Hello,

I include a subroutine in a coupled telemac2d/sisyphe computation that does not compile for some reason. The error I get is the following:
... checking the executable
Compiling user fortran
compilePRINCI: could not compile Fortran: init_compo_v7p2_v4.f
   |compileObj: could not compile your FORTRAN (runcode=1).
   |
In the past, runcode.py was relaying compilation error messages in the output, but that is not the case any more, even in debug configuration. It is really hard to correct mistakes this way.

Is there an explanation on why this happens?

Regards,
Costas

Hello Costas,

Sorry I can't help with such few elements.
However, it looks like an install and/or compiler and/or config problem.
I need you full model to test it on my computer.

with my kind regards

Riadh

Hello Riadh,

I finally traced the culprit in a (forgotten ) modification in my python calling script that redirected the STDERR in a file different than STDOUT. :S

Hi Riah and Costas,

 I got the same problem when running TOMAWAC -trunk:

IP_W_limwac_2016-04-01.f:99.9:

USE INTERFACE_TOMAWAC, EX_LIMWAC => LIMWAC
1
Fatal Error: File 'interface_tomawac.mod' opened at (1) is not a GNU Fortran module file
.....
... checking the executable
Compiling user fortran
compilePRINCI: could not compile Fortran: IP_W_limwac_2016-04-01.f
|compileObj: could not compile your FORTRAN (runcode=1).

Has the issue been solved yet?

Thanks & Regards
Huy

Hello Huy,

Mine wasn't really an issue with telemac. Your error seem to be related to mixing up different compilers. Do a clean compilation of your installation and try again. Make sure all your paths consistently point to the same compiler and version.
