TOPIC: Solver MUMPS

I just want to know , in case that i didn't download the software "MUMPS" , did the the solver in TELEMAC 2D fonction because I notice that the options of the solver (in Parametre généraux) work and I can choose keywords, so in this case did Telemac do the traitement of the linear system?!

Hi Hamidouche

Mumps is one of the solver used by telemac, but some other exists!
If you didn't download MUMPS you could always use Telemac without any problem as long as you didn't select MUMPS as the solver of the linear system.
If you try to select MUMPS you will obtain a message that indicates MUMPS is not available in your configuration.

so how to know which solver used by TELEMAC2D , because I didn't find such a reference in the documentation .

You have :

conjugate gradient : 1
conjugate residual : 2
direct solver : 8

and this can do for most situations,
