Hello everybody,

I use telemac for few time, and want to simulate flow (50 m3/s) trhough 4 culverts (2x3900 mm of diameter, L=3,60 m h=2,30 m, 1800 mm of diameter). Some are probably in charge.

Simulation works fine but flows through culverts seems to be very low in the listing (I use v6p3).

So, i wished to know if these values are right and if there was another way to control flow through culverts?

Best regards.

Nicolas

Hello Nicolas

Please upgrade to version V7P2.
The discharge through culverts is computed with a semi empirical law taht takes into accounts the head losses at the inlet, outlet and the linear head lossess. This law can be found in subroutine siphon.f (sourcecs/telemac2d).
1- You can calibrate the dischage through the culvert using the three coefficients I mentioned above
2- you said that you are not sure is the culverts are in charge or not, I recommand to use the bridge option rather than culvert. Bridge can consider bouth types of flows (free surface and pressurized)

with my kind regards
