Hi everyone

In case of supercritical flow, downstream of a river, use condition 4 4 4 in the cli file and 5 6 6 in upstream of a river. In the CAS file, how should PRESCRIBED VELOCITIES and PRESCRIBED ELEVATIONS be placed?

(Boundary 1 : downstream, Boundary 2: upstream)

Thanks

Joaquín

Hi
It depends on the order in the boundary file...
If node with 4 4 4 appears first then boundary 1 = downstream.
If node with 5 6 6 are located first, this mean boundary 1 = upstream

Hope this helps

Hi Joaquín,

As you are prescribing two conditions at upstream and free flow at downstream, it should be like this (according to ´´Boundary 1: downstream, Boundary 2: upstream´´)

PRESCRIBED VELOCITIES =0.0;[value1]
PRESCRIBED ELEVATIONS =0.0;[value2]

Replace the brackets with the values desired.

I hope it helps.

Cheers,

José Andrés.
