Hi:
Thanks for your attention.
There are some problems on my TELEMAD-2D liquid boundaries.
My boundary conditions consist of two open boundaries with prescribed Q at upstream and one open boundary with prescribed H at downstream. But when I give the different situations, for example
1) constant value for each boundary that Q(1)=60m³/s, Q(2)=20m³/s and SL(3)=466m
2) constant value for each boundary that Q(1)=20m³/s, Q(2)=10m³/s and SL(3)=466m
the results of these two situations are nearly same, even I give the value that Q(1)= 0m³/s, Q(2)= 0m³/s and SL(3)=466m, there is also the same result.
So, what's the possible problem about my case, and which way I should try to examine and modify?
Thanks

Hi
you should give more information about your model otherwise we cannot identify the problem.
You could also join the files of the model (in a zip)

Hi, c.coulet:
Thanks for your reply
Here I give my steering and liquid boundary files, wishing helpful for my problems.

Hi Wang,

Could you attach the cli and geometry (selafin) files?

On the other hand, I see that you say that you have 3 boundary, but in your file lqd (that extension I occupy myself to place the conditions of borders, I see that you use prn) I see that you put 4 borders.
Q (3) you should not place it if you set the edges well in cli.
You too can include: "PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES" and "PRESCRIBED ELEVATIONS" although these values will not be used, since, you use "LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE".

Hi,Joaquín

Thank you but I'm so sorry that there is something not suitable to attach my cli and geometry (selafin) files so I just do some description as follow

There is something wrong in my first message and the boundary conditions consist of three open boundaries with prescribed Q at upstream and one open boundary with prescribed H at downstream.

In the PREVIOUS COMPUTATION FILE, BOTTOM, BOTTOM FRICTION and WATER DEPTH(which 1-2 miles at the four boundaries and 0 at other place) are given.

As to the the liquid boundary file, just as my statement at first, whatever different Q given even zero or negative value at the upstream, there are also the same results.
If there was other needs to describe, expect your reply.

Hi Wang

You can try uploading it with a google drive or dropbox link.

It's hard to see what may be happening, without these two files;)

Also, could you upload the output file (where the iterations appear in text, not the slf)?

Hi Wang,

If you mean the input according to me, what you have is fine. If you mean to know a post process of values in bounds, what I do is extract the sfl data by matlab.

www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexch...5199279&tab=function

You can also use Bluekenue, extracting points
(Tools- extract point)

Hi, Joaquín

I'm so sorry for the long time of no respond for you.
Here I attach the cli and geo files (the names maybe some different) as you mentioned

File Attachment:

File Name: bc_example.cli
File Size: 505 KB

The geo file is failed to upload, and given in the link followed
link:http://pan.baidu.com/s/1bpCOsFH password:gk0u

As to the output file, I'm not sure is it the text showed during caculating, and just put a picture.

Thanks very much

Hi Wang

I already forgot his problem

From what I see, in the cli file, in column 8, when it is input or output you must set 4 and not 2.

Attached a tutorial to make meshes
