Dear all,

On my computer, I use a slightly modified version of the telemac2d.dico file: I use

SUBMIT = 'T2DRFO-WRITE;T2DRFO;FACUL;ASC;ECR;PARAL'

instead of

SUBMIT = 'T2DRFO-WRITE;T2DRFO;FACUL;ASC;ECR;SCAL'

for the FORMATTED RESULTS FILE.

I would like to do the same on the super computer of the university. However, I cannot modify the dico file there, as Telemac is used by many other users...

Is there a way to use a local dico file that is different from the original one? Similarly as what is done for the user fortran files?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Olivier
As far as I know it's not possible to use a "user" dico...

For me you have 2 solutions:
  • Create a special version where you copy all the system and change the dico
  • Add the subroutine which reads the dico file in your user fortran and change the values (maybe you have to change also the python script...)
Hope this helps

Hello Christophe,

Just curiosity, but what is the purpose of the DICTIONARY keyword? I tried to use it but it seems to have no effect. Do you know what it is for?

Best regards,

Phelype

Hello,

I think that this keyword dates back to a very old version of Damocles where the dictionary could be changed by the user, new keywords added in the parameter file, and English and French mixed. This was inadvertently broken when Damocles was adapted by a sub-contractor to a keyword editor called EDAMOX. Despite my efforts and the fuss I did around this it was never possible to get back...

With best regards,
