Hello,
I'm a new user of Telemac2d and I'm trying to model a channel in steady flow with normal conditions. For my initial conditions, I put a "constant depth" of 0.001m and for my boundary conditions I put a prescribed flowrates upstream of 215m3/s and a prescribed elevation downstream of 218.5m. My channel is about 14km long.
When I try to compute, there's no discharge upstream but there's a inflow discharge downstream. It's like my boundary conditions are inverted. Does anybody know how to solve this issue ?

Thank you very much

Here are all my files (.cas, .cli and .slf)

Hi Barbara

Try to look at some of the examples to well understand how telemac works...
In your case, you probably have different problems.
The initial condition is probably to low particularly if you try to impose a such high discharge upstream.
The filling by the downstream is also related to this initial condition which is lower than the prescribed elevation...
There is a large number of posts dealing with how to deal with the problem of initial condition and how to initiate a computation.
Spend few minutes to read them ans apply the advise this should work

Christophe

Hi Barbara

From what I see, in the cli file, in column 8, when it is input or output you must set 4 and not 2.

But I've already put 455 for upstream and 544 for downstream in BlueKenue, doesn'it change automotically ? Do I have to set it manually ?

Hi Barbara

You can do it manually, I do it with bluekenue (page 21 attachment by google drive)
