Hi:
I wonder how to setup a suitable time step for tide model using telemac2d V7P2 ?
From the manual in section 7.4 "experience shows that result quality decreases if the Courant number is above 7 or 8", seems Courant number should be under 7, how could i know the courant number on each time step ? From the courant number I can tuning my time step,and get a suitable time step.

Hello

Time step choice is mainly linked to the performance of the linear solver. try to choose a time step that will let the solver converge in maximum number of iteration of almost 50. This information can be read in the listing of you put the keyword INFORMATION ABOUT SOLVER=YES.
for an obtimal accuracy also try to not trespass a Courant number of 5 to 6. Telemac computes the Courant number for you.

when I add "L" in "VARIABLES FOR GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS" in the cas file,"PRERES: MAXIMUM COURANT NUMBER: " appears in the log file,but also the result file.It's really help,thank you again.
