Hi everyone, I'm a new Telemac 2D user who working for my thesis about Effect of Climate Change on River Morphology. The river been simulated is assumed to be steady state river. I have created the boundary conditions file and geometry file using Blue Kenue. For the Boundary Conditions File, Prescribed Q is used at the inlet while Prescribed H is indicated at the outlet. The cas file is created by using notepad.

But there are errors happened when simulating in Telemac 2D. I'm not sure what the problems are, either steering file or the meshing files. I wish to ask advises from everyone. Please help me find out what I'm missing. Your responses will be really appreciated. Thanks.

Hello

Telemac says in the listing that the boundary condition file does not correspond to the geometry file. So please generate it again based on the geometry file.

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried to regenerate the BC files based on the geometry files but the outcome in Telemac 2D still the same.
I have attached my work in Blue Kenue with the latest geometry, BC and cas files.

Hello Ester

you have a problem in the mesh in node number 14315 (see attached photo)

ester.png


1 node can not be in the same time within 2 different boundaries. You have to refine the mesh in these location in order to separate the two islands.

yes the simulation is done, but not sure that the result is OK.
I see in the listing that :

which means that the solver is not converging.
reduce your time step. and run it again.
