open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello Everyone,

I was trying to run telemac2d, but I have this error:

I was searching on internet and I thought it was mpi4py, so I installed it, but it still not working.

Then I read in this forum that it could be the systel.cfg file, that I have to change from mpiexec to mpirun, but it was already with mpirun.

So I can't understand the mistake here. Please, someone help me

It seems your configuration file is not fully correct as you wrote you have already mpirun but the error message clearly show the command line is mpiexec...
Are you sure mpi is working well on your computer. There is usually a test program with mpi (cpi). You could try to launch it from a command line to test your mpi installation...

Yes, I'm sorry. I changed mpirun to mpiexec to try something but it had the same error and I posted that error instead the original one. But it say the same, except for mpiexec to mpirun.

I want to check if mpi is working well, but I can't find that testing program cpi on my pc or the internet. Going to look another way of testing.

cpi is on the exemple directory of mpich2 but maybe only as a source file.
You should compile it first...

Nevertheless, you could also try to test it directly in telemac.
After the crash, go into the temp directory and try to launch it manually.
You could start only with few parameters: the number of processors and the name of executable

And when you said "start only with few parameters", Do you mean to start mpi or telemac?

I have tried with a smaller mesh and it works fine. But if I set in BlueKenue a boundary condition of incident waves and use the tpxo database, a have the same error.

Any ideas? Please

Incident wave is not compatible with TPXO.
A boundary condition where you would apply TPXO condition should be 5 5 5 in the telemac language (H, U and V imposed)

Yes you could just impose H but as a prescribed elevation, not as an incident wave.

I just tried with only prescribed H in the boundary condition and it fail again
