Hello,

Can anyone explain how THRESHOLD DEPTH FOR WIND works?

Suppose if i give
THRESHOLD DEPTH FOR WIND = 10,

Does this cancel the wind at the depth lesser than 10 m. ?

Or
Does this cancel the wind at the depth greater than 10 m?

Hello,

From the user's manual:
If there are tidal flats or dry zones in the domain, the wind may trigger unphysical velocities as it becomes the only driving term in the equations. To avoid this, wind is cancelled below a threshold value of depth, with the key-word THRESHOLD DEPTH FOR WIND.
So in your case, if the depth is less than 10m, wind is cancelled.
