Hej,

I'm quite new to Telemac2d and try to set up a model which simulated the morphologic evolution close to an estuary. The movement should be determined by the tidal prism as well as the waves.
So far I could set up the model and assign the tide, but I get some errors, here is one example.
EQUNOR (BIEF) : EXCEEDING MAXIMUM ITERATIONS: 100 RELATIVE PRECISION: 0.1281666E-03

I assume they are related to the tide, and I need to change some boundary conditions. I'm not sure how to do this.
Furthermore I like to know how to provide wave data to Telemac. I have measured wave data with Hs, Ts, L and direction, but I'm not sure how to include them into the model.

I would be thankful for help either with a kind of example (as tutorial or so) or in any other way.

Hello

This error does not have any direct link with boundary conditions. This means simply that your solver is not converging.
what you can start with is to reduce time step or to increase the maximum number of iteration for the solver.
To start with tide, please refer to the valdiation case called tide that you can find in the folder examples/telemac2d/tide
All the explanatation for this case, can be found in the doc folder.
In the user manual also you have lots of inputs that could help.

with my best regards

Riadh

Thanks a lot.
I could get rid of the exceeding iterations.

My doc folder contains just one .tex file which explains what was used but does not really explain much more. I will take a closer look in the manual.

Best regards

Hello Riadh,
I am Fakai Lei, a Ph.D candidate in Tsinghua University, China. I am quite a new learner of telemac2d, and have learned to use telemac2d simulat the water movement from a case since June, 2018. These days, I want to simulate sediment movement. Even though reading the user manual and some communication contents in Froum, I still have no ideal to what to start with.
I know you are very enthusiastic in replying people's questions and experienced in telemc2d using.
Could you give a case of sedimental movement simulation and some suggestions.Excuse me, my email address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If it is not a big burden to you and you are willing to, We could communicate with email.
Your reply will be appreciated very much.
best regards,
Lei

Hello,

I could figure out how to include the tidal prism but I'm still struggling with the waves.
Since I have recorded data for Hs, Ts, L and direction I wonder if I could use them in TOMAWAC or if I can use them directly in Telemac2d. What would be the proper and best way to use the wave data?

Best
Clemens
