Hello Everyone,

I am recently modelling turbines in Barrage using Telemac2D.

There is a lot of information on this forum about how to simulate the Tidal steam turbines. Such as Using the subroutine dragfo.f to model the dragforce of turbines. But less information about the modelling turbines of barrage/lagoon/Dam.

So my question is how to modelling the dragforce of turbines that in a wall of Barrage/lagoon/Dam? The 'wall' ia actuall empty without mesh which is the gap of two Subdomains. My idae is to add an additional term in the momentum equation using dragfo.f

Thanks in Advance.

Hello

I do not see the interest of such modelization. What we do usually is to take into account only for the mass transfer at the waterwork. In that case, we represent the dam as an island and we prescribe the available information on both sides of the island. for more complex models, in which you want to represent the flow through the dam/turbine, you should go to CFD-like models.

I hope this helps

with my best regards

Riadh
