Hello all,

I ran a model on telemac 2D, everything seemed normal until I tried to open the result file (.slf file) into Blue Kenue, this error message appears:

This appears to be a byte swapped file.
While reading element data.
ERROR: Unknown or Invalid file format:
While reading 2D Mesh Geometry.
ERROR: Unknown or Invalid file format:

Does someone know why and how can I solve it? (It never happened with the previous simulations...)

Regards

Jonathan

Hello Jonathan

Are you able to opent he geometry file ?
It seems that Telemac was not able to write results to the file because of an abnormal end of computation of because there are not-a-Number values.
You have to check these features step by step:
-open geometry file
-run small number of time steps and open the results file
-check if there are abnormal values in the listing during the run

I hope this helps

with my best regards

Riadh

If you already have an issue in opening the geometry file in BlueKenue, it means there is something incorrect in the file. It may be better to figure out the issue before using it for modelling.

What software did you use to generate the mesh? If not created in BlueKenue, try to generate a SMS 2dm file from your software for BlueKenue to import. If you cannot import the 2dm file into BlueKenue, there may be an issue in your original mesh.
