Hello community,
Is there anyone have experienced the global spherical coordinates WGS84.
I have no problem with metric coordinates UTM, I only aware if telemac can do simulations over large domains with geographic coordinates.
Please don't hesitate, any kind of help will be appreciated.
Cheers
Mourad

Finally I answered myself. It is possible to run simulations with spherical coordinates but TELEMAC needs cartesian system to work... even you indicate wgs84 as reference frame. Results proove that cause they are done in metric system. We just have to extract nodes with their id and coordinates from both of results and geo selafin files and do assign the angular coordinates to the former.
Hope this helps

Hello Mourad,

This subject has already been discussed recently here:
www.opentelemac.org/index.php/kunena/21-...l-coordinates-in-t3d
and maybe earlier elsewhere in the forum.

Since v7p3r0, you can use the keyword "RESULT FILE IN LONGITUDE-LATITUDE".

Regards,
Laurent
