Hi everyone !

I am trying to use TPXO data in my model.

That is why I set the 'INITIAL CONDITIONS' as 'TPXO SATELLITE ALTIMETRY'. Yet the initial plot I get looks strange : Water Depth is the same as Free Surface (same value, same evolution) during all the time steps.
If I use 'CONSTANT ELEVATION' or 'CONSTANT DEPTH' as the 'INITIAL CONDITIONS', I get the same issue : Water Depth and Free Surface are exactly the same... Do you have any idea of the mistake I might be doing ?

I will appreciate any help.

Thank you,
Ophelie

Hi Ophélie,

As the water depth is computed as H=SL-ZF, if you have the same values for the water depth H and free surface SL, it would mean that your bathymetry ZF is 0.

I hope it helps.

Hi Laurent,

Thank you very much for your answer. You were right, the bathymetry I created in the Selafin file was not read by Telemac because I did not "add a new variable : BOTTOM" when I created the Selafin file.

Thank you again for your time ! :cheer:
