Here I want to add som sluices on the river to control the flow, is there any direct method to do this through the new version v7p2? If not, is that just through culverts can do it?

There is no direct method to do that.
There is probably more than one unique solution but using culverts could be a solution. You will probably have to adapt the FORTRAN file to well represent what you want
