hello everyone,
i have a problem with wind and tide toghether.
Only tides give me a good result but when i insert a costant wind on the sea i have this problem:


ADVECTION STEP
DIFFUSION-PROPAGATION STEP
EQUNOR (BIEF) : EXCEEDING MAXIMUM ITERATIONS: 100 RELATIVE PRECISION: NaN

ITERATION 27 TIME: 6 MN 45.0000 S ( 405.0000 S)

this output it's the same from start.
i attached to you my .cas file.

Hi, I believe your wind coefficient which you specified as 1.2615E-3 should in fact be 1.2615E-6 to included division by water density required in the telemac governing equation formulation
I believe there have been previous forum's posts highlightening this same problem

the results are the same with each value of wind coefficient.
it isn't this the problem.

I could not test your model as you have not provided the xyz file.
However your Steering File should be WIND = YES (not true)
and the wind coefficient should be to the power of E_06 not
Also if you are specifying a constant wind in time and space then OPTION FOR WIND =1 (not 2)

first of all thank you for your reply.
i tryed to correct my work in this kind: I do set a previous computation file with a file with only tides and I forced my sistem with a costant wind.
I corrected the coefficient of wind influence like you have tell to me.
the results with wind or without wind are very similar..
it's strange...
anyway i attached my topography file.
the analysis without previous computetion file give me always the same result.. NaN..

Hello

I guess that your time step is no more adapted to the model forced by wind. Decrease time step and increase the maximum number of iteration for solver.
