open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,
I am trying to simulate an oil spill model where the tide is present in the atlantic ocean (Morocco). I am using the TPXO model for tide
The bathymetry i used to create the mesh is on lambert EPSG : 26191 (Mershish/ Nord Maroc)
I don't know what should I choose for the keywords GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM and
ZONE NUMBER IN GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM
(I know it's Lambert so the first one should be 4 but what about the second one ?)

Hi,

Only French Lambert projections are available in telemac system.
I advise you to work with a geometry file either:
- in lat/lon in real degrees
- or with utm projection (29 or 30 North in your area).

Hi,
I used the website tool-online to change the projection system from the one i have to utm 29. I entered the X and Y coordonates and the website gave me an additional field : ellipsoidal height
I want to know if it should be somehow taken into consideration in the depth Z or i can use the original one ? It's the first time I do this conversion and i didn't find enough informations about it while searching

It depends on what was your starting vertical reference.
But as you're working on the tide, I think you're using depths referenced to the mean sea level ? If it's well the case, you can ignore this ellipsoidal height and consider your original depths.
