I do not think there is a restriction in time.
Tidal constituents are computed from long-term time series and the actual amount of data can let us assume that we can predict the tide for the dates we want (as long as the stars rotate in the same way and the continents do not move too much ).
For more details about the methods used to compute the TPXO model, you can read the 2 articles Egbert, Bennett, and Foreman,1994 and Egbert and Erofeeva,2002
I am relieved to know that it is possible, that way I can predict for the date I want (Let's just hope, as you say, that the continent will not move too much haha: lol :).
