yasmina	Hello, I had modelise the tide and the propagation of wave for a large area. Now i want to modelise also the tide and the propagagtion of wave in small area, but the limit condition i want them from the large_model. How i can do this? Hope someone can help me!!!!! Hello

In the limits of your computation capacities, you can refine the mesh. Coastal Models can vary from several kilometers at the oceanic boundaries to several meters at the shore. Computational time stays reasonable.
Otherwise, you have to extract boundary condtions from the global model which is much more tricky. Then you have to build a smaller model and prescribe these extracted boundary conditions there.

yasmina	Hello Riadh, Thank you for your reply. It obligatory for me to do the second method, i have already build my smaller model, just the initial and limit condition, for the elevation tide and significant height, must be extracted from the larger model. So i don't realy understand exactly how i extract this conditions. Regards. YASMINA.
