Hello everyone,

I am working on a flood case of a city crossed by two rivers. The two rivers go under the city center through two underground tunnels. I don’t have enough data to modelize the galleries as culverts. So to take into account the flow that crosses the galleries, I decided to add sinks at the entrance of each one. But once I run the simulation with the sinks, the flow stops for a moment and goes back before even reaching the galleries.
PS: the sinks values (which represent the capacity of the tunnels)are higher than the free surface flow.
Is there any explanations for that? Could someone please help me to fix the problem?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I assume you are working on 2D model. Are you modelling steady state or unsteady state? Is the culvert always submerged or can it have free surface flow sometimes? How did you check the flow comes to your sink node is greater than sink flow?
