Hi,
I am trying to model the flow of a river and the flood that it will generate.I created my boundary conditions file on bluekenue by putting two open boundaries with prescribed Q and one open boundary with prescribed H.

When I try to run my model, it says :

PROBLEM ON BOUNDARY NUMBER 2
GIVE A VELOCITY PROFILE
IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FILE
OR CHECK THE WATER DEPTHS.
OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE:
SUPERCRITICAL ENTRY WITH FREE DEPTH
IN THIS CASE GIVE A POSITIVE DEPTH
IN THE INITIAL CONDITIONS
OR PRESCRIBE THE DEPTH AT THE ENTRANCE.

So I tried to modify the .cas file by changing prescribed flowrates, elevations and Velocity profiles but it changed nothing.

Do you have any idea of what should I do ?
Thank you by advance

Hi
You should start to read carefully the user manual and also use the search option on the forum as this problem has been already treated many many times...

There is no water on the boundary number 2 where you try to impose a discharge.
So change your initial condition to ensure a positive water height at this boundary
