Hello,

I am trying to make a realistic model. Therefore I need to force my oceanic boundary with a realistic tide.

I had amplitudes and phases for the main harmonics at different points around my boundary and I have tried so far to reconstruct the free surface signal within bord.f but it is not satisfactory as there are various nodal and phase adjustements needed to get a proper tide.

The easy way to workaround this difficulty is to input ascii files in which tidal elevation time series are known (from tidal gage, other model output,..).

I would like to know if there is already a neap subroutine that do interpolation in time and space from spread data inputs to precise HBOR at boundary points.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

Dear Alexis,

If you want to venture a bit more in the advanced use of TELEMAC, you can find a more detailed description of how to use SL.f with a temporal- and spatial- variation of your level boundary, and that would work in parallel, please refer to the post #749, answering Steve Renaud on the subject of "Spatial and temporal varying boundary conditions".

There are details of Fortran code and of LIQUID BOUNDARY FILE setup.

Sébastien.
