I didn't find in bluekenue how to specify an open boundary with free depth. I read in the user manual that in that case LIHBOR should be equal to 4 but what about the other ones. (For example in the open boundary with prescribed depth the manual says LIHBOR should be equal to 5 and bluekenue makes 544 in LIHBOR LIUBOR LIVBOR. I want to choose a custom boundary code wgilz creating my boubdaries with bluekenue but i don't know what go write. Should I choose 444 in my case ?

As you said, 4 is the code for free and 5 is the code for prescribed. So it depends:

444: would mean that everything is free.
455: would mean that the depth is free but you have to prescribe the flowrate.
544: would mean that you prescribe the depth but the velocities are free.

Then it depends on the physics of your problem.
