Hello
I am modeling the tide in the Persian Gulf.
I calibrated my model by using a few options(TIME STEP-COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE TIDAL RANGE-COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE SEA LEVEL-FRICTION COEFFICIENT).
The see level was similar to measurement, but the velocity and observation values were different.
I tried to calibrate the velocity by changing the coefficient of friction, but failed
What changes should I make to the cas file to solve this problem?
regards

Hi
According to your steering file:
You choose
COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE TIDAL VELOCITIES : 1.10
So you could change this value to better calibrate your model...

You could also add some diffusion at the velocities of changind the turbulence model.

What is strange is your friction coefficient (except if you manage it in the geometry file) because 5 for a Strickler law is a very rough bottom.

Regards
Christophe

Dear c.coulet thanks for your response
I tried other friction laws but did not make a difference
How can I apply turbulence to the model?
