My mesh gets this indent where the density changes from 500 to 100. Everything looks fine where it changes from 100 to 20. The red line is the outline.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hi
Try to smooth the density change...
The outline is usually resampled according to density criteria and here you have a too huge difference on the boundary nodes in comparison to the edge growth ratio...
