I have got bathymetric data in txt format (lat,long,bath). I don't know how to convert these data to create a mesh with matisse. How can I convert it in a serafin file ? thank you

Hello,

You can bring your bathymetric data in Matisse or Blue Kenue. For Matisse, the file format (called xyz format, when you import data) is just:

X Y Z

at every line, one line per point, but the X and Y must be the real values of coordinates in your projection system, so it will imply a prior transformation of your latitude and longitude.

Then when the mesh is done by Matisse, the bathymetry will be inserted in the serafin file.

I created a test file in txt format (I haven't recieved the data yet) and I can't import it :

"erreur d'importation"
"impossible d'importer les données"

how can I fix it ??

Hum, generally this happens when there is a space in the path leading to the Matisse project (like "My documents") where your file is. This is the first thing to check.

yes but my project is in c:\telemac , there is no space. I put my txt file here too. it is just a test with few lines I attach it.I try to launch it with "donnée, importer ligne\point"

Just remove the commas and it will work, we reproduced your problem with commas, and it worked after removing the commas.

thank you very much, it is working now ! I tried to remove the coma when the project was in a folder with a space (mes documents). I forgot to remove them when I put my project in the other folder.

now I have a problem with matisse with this same test file. I created "lignes géométrique" and "MNT"
When I try to solve the mesh it says "le nombre de points estimés est 0". Then the mattisse windows closes...
