As i am doing 2d flow modeling for a selected domain by applying TPXO along the open boundary. I need to increase the frequency of tide applied along the boundary. Can anyone tell me the relevant KEYWORD to increase the tide frequency along the open boundary?

Hi,

You can't adjust the frequency of the tide by a simple keyword.
Its frequency results from the frequency of each tidal constants of TPXO database.
Why do you need to do that?
Are you sure your model is well set-up?

Thanks for your reply., Yes it is well set-up. I would like to observe the rapid changes in flow on tuning the tide frequency to be little bit higher. Is there any other option to achieve it?

What do you mean by "rapid changes in flow"? What is the frequency of these variations? Are you sure they're induced by the tide?

Independently of the reasons why, there is no option for such feature.
The only solution I could imagine is to manually change the time of tide in the source file...
Look into bord_xxx and tidal_xxx subroutine and change the time value.
instead of AT, you could give 2*AT then the computation of tide boundary condition will be done at a double frequency...

I would like to take the tide with slight alteration in timing. This also alters the frequency of the tide imposed. Coulet has given me the right solution to do the modeling.
