Hello all

I'm quite new to Telemac and am using the simulation outputs in particle tracking studies. So far, I have been interpolating the output to a regular grid, but would like to progress onto directly using the unstructured grid output. I can't find reference to this on the forum, has anyone done this before? I know that it is possible with other models so would like to give it a go but don't want to reinvent the wheel, so asking if anyone knows if this has already been done and can point me to any relevant scripts...

Thanks

Hi
This is done is the post-processing.
BlueKenue could do that for you (look into the manual)
Fudaa also but the description of the methodology is not available
Finally you could also do similar thinks in Tecplot or Paraview

Hi,
I am using v8p0r2 and would like to simulate particle tracking using flot2D. I have tried simulating the examples of particles and flotteurs and it works. But currently when I try to simulate the flot2D in my domain it does not work. I'm not sure where is the problem. I attached the error and the file for reference. Please help.

Thank you

Hi

Could you please try to carefully read the error message which clearly indicate where the compiler crash.

The coordinates you entered are not numbers.
- 616168.384.D0
- 149935.384.D0
the is 2 . in each value

Hi,
I am sorry for a trivial question but I am still quite new in understanding fortran file. I tried changing the coordinates to numbers

Coordinates:
-605000.D0,
-140000.D0

but I still receive the same error. Any reasons to this?

You can't receive the same error if you change the coordinates
Or it means there is another problem with your fortran file...
Please join the corrected file and the error message

Really appreciate the response but I'm sorry if I do not understand accurately. Do you mean to attach the error file?

Hi
If the exmaple works and if it crash in your case this mean the adaptation of the fortran file you've done are not correct.
Try to run again the example, then make you changes piece by piece and try each time...
According to the error message, it's possible that your text editor use tab instead of space. Look at this point
