Simulation ends just in single iteration. But i want to run it for a month.
Pls help me.
I am trying to provide one tidal boundary and wind interpolated mesh.

Have you checked that all time-dependent files with driving forces, e.g. wind, tides, have a duration equal or greater than the time span of the requested computation?

Hello everyone,

i have some difficulties to understand, how the wind effect in case of a storm surge is considered in telemac-2d. Are the effect of fetch and duration included in the simulation?

For example:
If i simulate the water elevation at a location, and i use two different space and time varying wind data.

e.g. in the first data the maximum wind reaches -20 m/s and then degenerates rapidly. however, in the second wind data the maximum wind reaches -20 m/s, but stay constant for a while then decreases slowly.

THE QUESTION:

Would i have the same maximum of water surge in both cases, or would be the 2nd water elevation more considerable due to the higher action time of wind "longer duration".

I´ll appreciate your help

best regards,
Hatem

Hi,
I am beginner of telemac. I have a question that is the meteo.f file necessary when I set OPTION FOR WINeD =3.If so,is it necessary to modify my wind.slf file only with WIND VELOCITY U and WIND VELOCITY V and without PRESSURE?
THANK YOU.
