Hello,

I am trying to smooth only a particular part of my mesh bathymetry with the list of the concerned nodes.
I use a mask that is defined MASKEL(i)=1.0d0 in the MASKOB routine. Then in CORFON the selected element of MASKEL are changed.
However, The SMOOTHING algorithm (FILTER) does not seem to take into account the mask and smooths the whole mesh.

Did someone face the same problem or manage to do the same thing ?

attached fortran file and CAS file.
Thank you,
Marine

Hi
According to what you've done, you're masking the area where you want to smooth bottom...
In my mind I would say you should do the opposite.
