Hello all,

I have downloaded the European shelf TPXO binary from the OSU website and run the 't2d_tide-ES_real.cas' but it fails soon after.

I attach the whole output:

File Attachment:

File Name: output_2019-09-20.txt
File Size: 19 KB

Can anyone verify it runs on their installation?

Best Regards,
Costas

Hello Costas,

If uncommenting the 2 lines
/BINARY DATABASE 1 FOR TIDE : hf.ES2008.out
/BINARY DATABASE 2 FOR TIDE : uv.ES2008.out

and using the 2 files from OSU, the example runs well for me.

Hello Chi-Tuan,
My computation fails at this step (at tpxo.f), when reading from the BINARY DATABASE 1 FOR TIDE:
! READING AND WRITING ASSUMED ARRAYS
      READ(T2D_FILES(T2DBB1)%LU) N,M,NC,
     & ( TH_LIM_R(I),I=1,2 ),( PH_LIM_R(I),I=1,2 ),C_ID_MOD(1:NC)
Could it be an issue with binary endianess in my compilation? I usually omit endianess related flags from my cfg file.

OK, I answered myself. Adding -fconvert=big-endian and recompiling from scratch solved the issue. The example runs fine now. I suppose it wouldn't cause any harm to leave the flag permanently on, would it?
