Unrealistic results with fine mesh resolution 5 years 2 weeks ago #34896

Hi,
I'm simulating propagation of solitary wave in a 10m long horizontal bed channel (lab scale) in Telemac 2D using Boussinesq equation. I have run two test cases, one with element size of 3cm and other with 1cm in the mesh. The 3cm mesh gives desired results, while 1cm mesh gives very unrealistic results. I have followed same procedure in setting up the models, yet fine mesh is giving me unrealistic results. I have attached simulation files along with results for comparison. Could you please have alook and let me know if any issues in mesh generation? Many thanks in advance.

Did you reduce the time step for the finer mesh?

Yes, I have tried with reduced time step and also with "Desired courant number". But the results do not improve.
