Prescribed depth and velocities using liq file - 5 6 6 5 years 2 weeks ago #34899

Hi,

What is the correct format for the header line when prescribing depth and velocities in a file? I used "T SL(1) U(1) V(1)". But the simulation terminates with error "VIT: More prescribed velocities are required". What is the acronym for U and V velocities, respectively to be used in the header line of .liq file?

Many thanks,
Ananth.

Hello Ananth,

How many liquid boundaries do you have?
You have to give as many values as liquid boundaries for the keyword PRESCRIBED VELOCITIES, even if they will be changed by the values in the LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE.

Anyway, to answer your last question, I would recommend you to read the manual.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
