Dear all,

Is it possible to assign a slope to a channel?

I mean if my channel topography is flat with zero elevations everywhere. To this flat channel, I need to check the simulations under different channel slopes.

Is it necessary to prepare each time the channel topography with a required slope?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello Saroj,

My suggestion would be to prepare an empty mesh using BK and then assign BOTTOM elevation analytically using subroutine corfon. All you need is to describe the surface as a function of X and Y.
There are some ARTEMIS examples I know of that use corfon to set bathymetry (bj78, breaking, rides, westcoast) but I am sure the are other as well. A simple search for 'corfon' in the examples would provide plenty results.

Best Regards,
Costas
