open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

I want to know if someone has or know a tool to create automatically (without using fudaa-prepro or bluekneue) a 2d mesh serafin file which can be compute in telemac 2d.

My objective is to have a mesh in an ascii format and to maunch a command like

create_serafin my_meshqgis.

I think I cannot used fudda-prepro or bluekenue outisde their software interface.

I don't thing there is already a tool to do that mainly because of the entry file format.
With STBTEL, you could convert some mesh to selafin (from adcirc, fastab, simail) but not from ascii...
This is also possible to write a selafin file from python if you're able to create the right structure by reading the ascii file (this implies the ascii mesh is well described).

How did you generate your mesh in Qgis? with GMSH?
If so, maybe you could look at the pputils toolbox as there is some python scripts to convert gmsh file to adcirc and adcirc to selafin

I insist on looking in the pputils scripts (python) because there is already scripts to use Triangle directly.
Nevertheless, if you plan to write the mesh in adcirc format directly from R, I think you could also directly write the mesh in Selafin format.
The description of the selafin file is in the telemac documentation
