Hi everyone

I am quite a new user of telemac. Here I want to modify littoral test case. I want to add some variables: sea level (SL) and u,v velocity.

I have seen the older topic and tried to adapt it, but it still doesn't works.

Does some of you have any clues about how to do?
Thanks in advance

Hello Arief,

It is not very clear what you are aiming to achieve. Do you want to impose these variables as boundary conditions to the hydrodynamic model or add them to the output of the model?

If it is imposing that you want to do, you must give details about their nature, e.g. constant in time and space, constant in space but variable in time, or both?

Costas

Hi Costas,
Thank you for the response

Yes as you said that I want to impose these variables as my boundary conditions to the hydrodynamic model. I have uv, and SL data in specific time. So then I make the liquid file consists of SL(), VIT() in every liquid boundaries.

I set the BC 566 at the west, and 466 at the south and north.

but I get this error

PROFILE 4 ASKED IMPOSSIBLE COMBINATION
PLANTE: PROGRAM STOPPED AFTER AN ERROR
RETURNING EXIT CODE: 2

Can you give me any clues to fix this error?
Thanks in Advance

Arief

Hello Arief,

Can you be more specific on the descriptions of the boundary conditions? If I understand correctly, you have boundary conditions that are variable in time, but constant in space? Do you have velocity and surface elevation data for all boundaries?

Hello Ariel,

I think the clue is to read the error message:
If profile 4 is impossible, you have to use another one.
Another clue is to read the TELEMAC-2D user manual, the validity of this choice is written.

I can help you by telling you to use 1, 2 or 3.
Profile 4 (or 5) is not possible when prescribing velocity (prescribing flowrate or elevation with this kind of profile is OK).

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
