Hello;

I'm trying to simulate tide height and velocity in a harbor with a liquid boudary file. So, after ceating the slf & cli files via Bluekenue, I run a simluation and I got a result file with only bathymertry infomration.
VARIABLES FOR GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS mentioned in the simulation parameters file show a value of zero for all time steps in Fudaa.

suggestions?

Best regards

Hello,

Are you sure that your bottom elevation/bathymetry has the right sign. Would not it be with minus?

In your case, you try to prescribe water elevation below the minimum elevation (2.25), that is why you do not have any water nor velocity in your domain.

Anyway, some comments on your model:
- you have many overconstrainted elements on your boundary (at least 6 with 3 nodes on the boundary). You should modify your mesh,
- I strongly recommend you to use a plane projection to build your mesh, not longitude/latitude, in particular for a model which does not seem to be large, what about UTM?

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

hello Chi-Tuan
I changed th bathymery by adding a minus sign to each value and it works.
Concernig the mesh i used it for a test case only & it will modified.
Utm projetion seems to be more accurate than lon/lat coordinate in small region like harbor.
thanks a lot
