Hello,

I'm studying the case of a dam beak flow but with two gates, the flow will come from left to right with two closed boundaries.
The left gate will open (be lifted), then the flow will go under the gate, and after that (1 or 2 seconds after) the right gate will open.

I want to simulate that using Telemac, modifying the following fortran and steering files, i'm a biginner using telemac so i don't know what subroutine should i add to my 3 fortran files to simulate that case, should i use telemac 2D r 3D.

In the attachements, you'll find the fortran, steering files, the geometry, and a figure explaining the experiment.

Best regards,

Hi
As there is no simple solution to represent gate in your model, this is not simple to give you an answer...
If the opening should be considered as instantaneous, I would say that the left gate should be represent as an initial condition like in the ritter test case.
For the right gate, I imagine you could use the element masking to artificially create a wall for the right part of the channel and after the required time, you remove the mask option. The subroutine for masking/unmasking is maskob.f

Hope this helps
Christophe

Thank you so much Sir,

Yes the openning is instantanious (levé de barrage), if you don't mind please can you go more into details, what de i have to write to make the first gate an initial condition, and how can i use the subroutine maskob.f
