I'm doing wind simulation for still lake. When I apply the wind and check for the output parameters, the bottom ( bathymetry) seems assigned properly when there is a uniform velocity condition or still water conditions. However when I apply the time-varying spatially constant wind data the bathymetric values not assigned to the model. Instead, it shows a constant value all over the lake region. What could be the reason for this? Any opinions highly appreciated.

What do you have in your fortran file?

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I'm not good at Fortron programming. I assumed that the example 2D Telemac WIND would ok with my simulation. So I haven't change any of the codes in the Fortron example ( attached here). The two images are one with bathymetric data assigned properly ( steady uniform wind) the other one is a transient condition. In transient condition bathymetric value is uniform. that's the issue.

The main problem is you haven't change any of the codes...
The exemple has been designed as an example and in this particular case, there is a specific modification of bathymetry coded in user_corfon.f fortran file.
Remove this file and your case will work as you imagine.

Using example to understand how things are done in Telemac is a good starting point BUT using example configuration in another model without any comprehension of what is exactly done is the example could lead to problems...

Yeah It worked

However, when I run the simulation it does not proceed for 15ms wind speed unidirectional. for smaller speeds, telemac runs well. I don't know why it stuck at this phase for a long time not proceeding . I have attached my files here. Please Kindly have a look and share your commnets. Although I changed the iterations max to high it doesn't work.

Just a simple question: have you tried to decrease the time step?

Yes, I tried it early .. Then I work for a long time without the above error then again it comes again. What do you think the possible reason could be

I ran your model for 24h with graphic output for each timestep.

There are a lot of fluctuations at 10m/s wind. You shock the model by applying wind on stand still water.
