Hi, I can Attempt to answer yes, but I am not sure it does fit your question, because I am a beginner in informatics. I would like to send you files I used, can I?
and I am going to explain What I have done ...
I tryed to run/execute a case file cas_T3D.txt (maybe Telemac 3d) by the command line telemac2d.py (script, I think so, because located in the script folder of my system drive) as described in the YouTube Tutorial of Jason Duguay
"Telemac2D Tutorials - part 13 Running the simulation and viewing the results", error not a command appeared. I tried also the command telemac3d.py, same result, nothing happened. Then I type the command line "path" as describe in this online tutorial Windows Command Line Tutorial - 5 - PATH Variable , with the command telemac2d.py , telemac3d.py and runcode.py , and all return the same type of error as describe in my first post.
Sorry if I am boring you. I appreciate your help.

Error when trying to run telemac2d.py cas_T3D or runcode.py in prompt

I think you should know what you want to run, there is a difference between 2d and 3d simulations.
Can you share your input files? the command you use, the output you get? It wil be needed to trouble shoot your problem.
Are you able to run the examples?

Patrick is really right, you should follow his advice.
Anyway, I think the end of the first post of this topic is missing:
"Hi, I got a problem /error when trying to run a simulation in the Windows Prompt.
I do ... >telemac2d.py cas_T3D, and " and what? It may help to have the end and also give the error message, command and steering file you have run or a screen shot of you have run (with the command, error message, whole listing).

Error when trying to run telemac2d.py cas_T3D or runcode.py in prompt

Thank you Patrick and Chi-Tuan. I didn't realized my first message was troncated, sorry. Regarding your both remarks I tried to post my first error messages but I realized didn't make screenshot. So I tried to execute again the same previous command lines and It DID RUN A SIMULATION... ; (maybe because I made a beter use of the %path% comand ) ...
With the command telemac2d.py it FAILED for a dico problem .... img1
but with telemac3d.py it did run a simulation and ABORT at a certain level...img2n3 anyway it did created a folder with some akward results... img4.
I didn't know that examples do exist, sorry.
I share with you my steering files I tried to run.
thanks for your help
Whatever your level in computer science, you have to understand basic actions you run or can read the error messages. The steering file you sent is dedicated to TELEMAC-3D, so you have to run it with telemac3d.py and running it with telemac2d.py is not possible as the error message tells you.
Anyway, I tried to run your case and it started perfectly. In your last error figure, it is written you have a problem with mpiexec.exe not recognized, so I think you have a problem with your installation of TELEMAC. Please use the search feature of this forum, the issue should have already been discussed, it is not a TELEMAC-2D issue.
Hope this helps,
Chi-Tuan
