Dear Friends
I am trying to model a coastal area using telemac2d. I have two type of boundaries:
1-The boundaries are in contact with land
2-The boundaries are in the sea
3-The boundaries for the rivers coming to the sea
I am using TPXO for tidal data base.
When I am determining the boundaries in Bluekenue which type of boundaries should I define for each of the above when I am using TPXO?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Hi,

1 - 2 2 2 (solid boundary)
2 - 5 6 6 (Free surface and Velocity fields are imposed... from TPXO)
3 - It depends :
- if water comes into the model from the outside : 4 5 5 (Discharge imposed... free surface free) and information about the discharge or 4 6 6 (velocity field imposed... free surface free)
- if water leaves the model : 5 4 4 (Free surface imposed)

Please read section 4.2.3 The boundary conditions file of the user Manual and tide example.
