Hello Josias,

Have you tried to run the command in the folder balzano? In the steering file, paths are relative.

Hope this helps,

Hello Chi-Tuan,

Thank you for your suggestion, but it doesn't work, sorry.

when I try to run from the example folder the machine says, 'runcode.py or telemac2d.py is not a command' but when I try to run from the script folder it does run (or try or begin... depending of other issues).

From my beginning in telemac I never succed to run from the example or case folder.

when I try to run the same example Balzano with v8p1r0 with python 2.7, I dont have the problem of missing geometry file. but with v8p1r0 with py 2.7 I can't run any Tomawac or gaia case file as I previously explain in an other post in this forum.

Hello Josias,

You seem to have a problem of path.

Have you tried what is written here e.g.?
github.com/Ecohydraulics/telemac-install-windows

As I do not have any Windows computer, I cannot assist in installing TELEMAC on Windows.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

thanks chi-tuan for the link but some links inside the page seem not working.
also Anaconda is prety heavy, and I don't understand the environment.

I tried to instal Telemac on the linux part of my laptop (Ubuntu18) but I need assistance, for example I dont know how to properly manipulate the pysource.template.sh file moreover to specify MYCONFIG.... , or the MPI, Or HDF5 (I have already installed) or else

Should I have to open a new topic in the forum in the linux part?

thank you

Hello Josias,

Yes, as your issue is not the first one and an installation issue, not a TELEMAC-2D, you should open another topic.

Anyway, the pysource.template.sh is only a template from which to start and adapt (in particular what is between < > symbos as indicated at the top).
In particular, you need to give the path where to find the source code, the configuration you want to use in the systel.cfg file and also paths to libraries you need to install TELEMAC, at least MPI and METIS to run in parallel mode and a compiler (MUMPS, HDF5, MED are not mandatory). You should start with a minimal installation then extend it if necessary.

Hope this helps,

Chi-tuan

thank you very much pham,

following what you said

"You should start with a minimal installation then extend it if necessary"

I succefully installed Telemac on my Linux part.
Also, this following web page is pretty well designed and the step by step explaination is very clear. " hydro-informatics.com/get-started/install-telemac.html "

linux easier than windows.

I know this message come a bit late but, I took a vacation from my 4 months of my telemac installation suffering. (I hope).
